The Problem
A high-end manufacturer was experiencing quality issues with the suppliers they were using. The nature of their work means every detail, no matter how small, must be executed exactly with no exceptions or deviations. Compliance must be achieved to exact measurements with an extremely low tolerance level and treatment of all surfaces to exacting specification. They were finding it difficult to identify a British supplier who was able to meet these exacting standards and maintain supply within their tight tolerance requirements on a repeatable basis, as well as struggling with the overall quality of the parts being supplied.
The Solution
After meeting with the customer for the first time, we understood exactly what they were striving to achieve; it wasn’t down to the pricing of the parts we would supply but related solely to the quality. Quality was the only driving factor for this business to turn elsewhere.
Starting with a sample batch, we were given the opportunity to show the customer the quality we were able to manufacture to. We were able to demonstrate that these parts can be made at high volumes to a superior standard, to maintain the tight tolerances which they had previously struggled to acquire from other suppliers, and to specification and finishing with the product always being immaculate. Establishing our quality was second to none, our machine capabilities and highly regarded engineers were able to validate that Maximum was the right supplier for the job.
The Outcome
Eighteen months later, this high-end manufacturer is one of our regular customers. They are thrilled with the quality and turnaround time we provide them with on a weekly basis. They are receiving a quality product, on time and to specification with no hassle. No longer are they fretting over what quality they may receive every week, they’re able to turn their attention elsewhere and focus on being an industry leader in a competitive market.
